This Privacy Policy explains how Deepglass, operated by Mason Strategy (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and protects your information. By using Deepglass (the “Service”) you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and, optionally, your name, used to authenticate you and operate your account.
- Your notes and vault content — the text and voice input you provide and the notes the Service creates from it. This is your data; you own it.
- Usage and metering data — records of AI requests and token counts used to enforce plan allowances and operate the Service.
- Billing metadata — subscription status and customer identifiers from our payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details; those are handled by Stripe.
- Connected ChatGPT account — if you connect ChatGPT on the website, we store encrypted access and refresh credentials and account metadata to run your requested AI features across your browsers. Tokens are not sent to the browser. The Electron app stores its ChatGPT connection separately on your device.
- Technical data — limited diagnostic and error information needed to keep the Service reliable and secure.
2. AI processing
Deepglass sends the content needed for your requested AI features to the selected provider. Hosted API requests and requests made through a personal ChatGPT account on the website or in the desktop app use different account arrangements. Provider retention and data-use terms, and your personal account settings where applicable, govern that processing. Review those terms and settings before submitting sensitive information.
3. How we use your information
- to provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- to process AI requests you initiate;
- to manage your subscription, billing, and usage allowances;
- to authenticate you and secure your account;
- to communicate with you about your account and the Service;
- to comply with legal obligations.
4. Sub-processors
We use the following trusted third parties to operate the Service. Each processes only the data needed for its function:
- Supabase — database and authentication (hosts your account and notes).
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
- Anthropic and OpenAI — AI providers that process your input to generate responses (including voice transcription).
- Resend — delivery of authentication and account emails.
- Sentry — error monitoring. Performance tracing is currently disabled.
5. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
6. Data retention
We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete a note or your account, we remove the associated content from our active systems; residual copies may persist in backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
Disconnecting ChatGPT on the website removes its stored credentials and pending sign-in data from active storage across your website browsers. It does not disconnect the Electron app. Disconnect does not cancel requests already sent to OpenAI. Residual encrypted copies may remain in database backups until those backups expire.
7. Your rights
- Export — the in-app export includes Markdown notes in deep-structures, claims, concepts, areas, projects, derivatives, and agents. Other folders, root files, and session transcripts are excluded. Included files retain their stored bytes. Contact us about access to data outside this export.
- Deletion — you can delete individual notes in the app. Contact mason@masonstrategy.com to request account deletion; there is currently no self-service account-deletion control.
- Access and correction — you can access and update your account information, or contact us for assistance.
8. Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and row-level data isolation so that each user can access only their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
